In 1968 Allen Falle and his wife Irma came to the Yukon as pioneers looking for a farm. A couple of years later, in 1972, they were able to buy the land and established the Yukon's first and still only sod farm. They dreamed of providing the area with easy to use turf.
After some struggling in the beginning to make the land, which was nothing but peat bog and trees, cultivable, they sold their first sod in 1986. It took lots of well needed patience, persistence and passion to finally realize their dream. Since then, the farm has flourished quickly and we are very proud, that today already the third generation is involved in the farm business.
After the sad loss of Allen Falle in 2022 it was no question for us to carry on his legacy and Ray Falle, Allen and Irma's son, leads the family business into the future to continue the supply of turf to the Yukon.
